Acupuncture

Naturopathic doctors are trained for four years in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

This system of medicine incorporates Qi energy flow, organ meridians, and mental-emotional aspects of health.

In Ontario, Naturopathic Doctors may practise acupuncture under the Naturopathy Act legislation, and many private insurance plans cover the cost of these treatments for naturopathic patients.

Acupuncture addresses the nervous and musculoskeletal aspects of health, as well as supports mental-emotional aspects of health. Fine, sterile needles are inserted into the skin in safe anatomical locations, and are used to have a therapeutic effect on the meridian, muscles, tissue, and the nervous system.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is useful for many conditions, and acupuncture is often an adjunctive option for treatment plans. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is offered as part of a comprehensive dermatological plan.

Dr. Spark, ND offers both types of acupuncture at Verdure. For more information, or to book your initial session, click  below.
